Spring’s Fresh Face: To capture this look, pair a luminous complexion with red lips.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Luxe Lashes: Start by curling your lashes. Afterwards, use two coats of volumizing mascara. Start the mascara at the roots and wiggle it upward.

 
Big, Bouncy Hair: Voluminous hair is in this season! A full-bodied look requires mousse and a round-brush blow-dry.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Soft and Glowing: Try adopting a less-is-more mentality for this look. Enhance your skin and lips only slightly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Gold Accents: Leave the majority of your hair and makeup minimal and spice it up with gold eye shadow.

Red lips: Red lipstick is typically “in” for spring, but give it a change this time around by mixing different hues.

From the Runway to Everyday: Fashion Week’s Best Beauty Trends to Try

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week just wrapped up in New York City and showed off a variety of new hair and beauty styles to try out this spring. Just like some clothing featured in Fashion Week, not all hair and makeup trends are perfect for your everyday look. We picked a few of our favorite easy to wear styles -they’re pictured below:

Some of the hair style trends that were a hit at Fashion Week were angular bangs, fishtail braids, airy up-dos, and colorful streaks.

Jean Madeline Salon in Plymouth Meeting presents: An Evening of Elegance

Are busy days stressing you out? Do you feel like you don’t have any time for yourself?  Jean Madeline wants to help!  Join us on Wednesday, March 14 from 6 to 8 p.m., for an Evening of Elegance at the Jean Madeline Salon in Plymouth Meeting. 

Our Evening of Elegance is a night of pampering and relaxation for mothers, professionals and busy women.  The night includes a styling lesson, makeup application, a chair massage, a hands-on hair braiding demonstration, hair color consultation, a quick introduction to waxing, and a mini polish change – all in two hours. The evening will also feature a cooking demonstration by professional chef Linda Koller.  Hors d’oeuvres and light refreshments will be offered throughout the evening.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a Touch of Red

Valentine’s Day is here! Celebrate by adding a splash of red to your hair next time you visit one of our salons! Below are a few tips for adding that crimson glow to your luscious locks.

Choose the right shade of red for your hair: If you have blonde hair and a paler complexion, a shade of strawberry blonde is the way to go. If your hair is dark blonde or a lighter brown, then choose a shade of auburn to perfectly compliment your natural hue. For dark brown hair, try adding a darker shade of red with a violet or burgundy base. For the adventurous type with blue eyes and a lighter complexion, try fire engine red.
